Science Experiments on Forces

Ask your children about the experiments we have been doing:

Gravitational Force

*Dropping a basketball, dodgeball and tennis ball at the same time...which one hit the ground first and why?

Electrostatic Force

 
*Charging a balloon, then seeing static electricity at work.

Magnetic Force

 

 

*Using a magnet, tin foil, string with a paper clip attached and many classroom items to see if a magnet can "stick" to various objects.



Buoyancy

 

Experimenting with a ping pong ball in a glass of water. What happens when it is gently pushed down? How about when more pressure...force... is added to the ball?  

What happens when we add a dime to the ball?

How many coins does it take to sink the ball?

What are we going to do next???
