School Play info

Dear Parents,

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 virus and the state of emergency in the province of Ontario, the play "Little Mermaid Jr. Musical" has been cancelled.  Although it is understood that all involved will be extremely disappointed, the health and safety of our staff, students, and Sarah and her team at L.A.F.A,  is paramount when planning this event. With the uncertainty of when we return, we cannot make any plans to reschedule the event. It is our hope that everyone remains safe during this time of global crisis.

Thank you for your continued support with the ARTS, we look forward to next years production and partnership with Sarah and her team at L.A.F.A.

God Bless,
Mrs. Bellaire, Mrs. Laporte, Ms. Sarah

In the meanwhile, students are encouraged to continue reading and writing daily. Practice math facts...we played a lot of math started games that just require a deck of cards or dice. They know what to do!
There are many links on the pages of this blog to get the youngins involved.

Coming up...

March Break is now over and we are working on having something in place for the students soon. Programming and learning will resume, though since we are at home, it will look different.
Please check in with the blog, as I will be updating information as it comes.
In the meanwhile, encouraged children to continue reading daily, writing stories or journals using rich language (trust me they know what that means :). Kids are encouraged to go to the math page of this blog and explore the many math links I have embed.

Stay tuned there is more to come!!

A few days ago, Premier Doug Ford and Minister of Education Stephen Lecce announced a new web portal to help students stay on top of their learning while schools are shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Keep on Reading Kids!!!

I am sooo excited to inform you that one of our reading programs, scholastic digital, is now accessible to you at home! I use this awesome series for guided reading, plays/readers theatre and our weekly debates. Our school has a membership to this resource, but due to these trying times, Scholastic Digital has given parents and students free access to this literacy treasure until June 30th.
Please click on the link below and have your kids read and explore!

Movement Devices

Students were very creative in designing their boats and cranes.

They were all successful in creating a way to make them move or lift a load using magnetic force.
